Greetings Walk & Knock Volunteers | As you may know, Walk & Knock is making a shift this year — from Walk & Knock to Drive & Drop. While we won’t be directly organizing neighborhood pickups, many of our amazing past volunteers have asked how they can still help with this year’s drive on Saturday, December 6th.
Â
We have four great ways for you to get involved this year: Â
|
|
|---|
1. Neighborhood Organizing & Food PickupIf you’d like to “adopt” a neighborhood, street, or area, we’ll provide you with door hangers to place on doors the week before the food drive (Sunday, November 30 – Friday, December 5).  - Please have all door hangers placed no later than Friday, December 5.
- On Saturday, December 6, after 9:00 AM, return to collect any food bags placed out for pickup.
- Bring collected bags to one of the nearby Drive & Drop locations.
To sign up, please email president@walkandknock.org with: - The area you’d like to cover
- The approximate number of homes in your area
Please contact us by November 10 so we can order enough door hangers. |

|---|
| 2. Drive Day Drop Location HelpWe’ll have 16 Drive & Drop locations around the county on Saturday, December 6. Each site needs 15–20 volunteers to help unload cars and load trucks. If you’d like to help at one of these locations, please email president@walkandknock.org. | | | | 3. Barrel PickupsOver 80 donation barrels will be placed throughout Clark County at locations such as Les Schwab, Riverview Bank, McDonald’s, and Cost Less Auto Parts. These barrels will be out from December 1–15, and many will need daily pickups. If you’d like to help with barrel collection, please contact kay.hust@hotmail.com. | | | |  4. Flyer Distribution & Social Media We’ve created flyers to help spread the word about Walk & Knock / Drive & Drop. You can place them at local businesses or community spots throughout November. Please also consider following us on Facebook or Instagram and helping us to spread the word. | | | | We know this year’s format is a change, but your continued support and enthusiasm make Walk & Knock possible. Please consider volunteering in any way you can — every bit helps make this community effort a success. Â
With gratitude, Justin Wood President, Walk & Knock / Drive & Drop | |
